  • Print

Three people have been arrested after a skier was stabbed at the Forks on Sunday evening.

The 31-year-old man told police he had been skiing on the river when he was confronted by three males he didn't know.   The attackers, one of whom was armed with a weapon, tried to steal his wallet, and the man was stabbed in the upper body before he was able to break free.

The skier has been treated in hospital for injuries that are not life-threatening.

Police said today they have arrested three suspects.  A 23-year-old man has been charged with robbery and is behind bars.  Two youths, 16 and 17 years old, are each facing a charge of robbery.
