A 23-year-old man faces numerous charges following a string of robberies in north Winnipeg.

Between Oct. 31 and Nov. 6, Winnipeg police said there were eight commercial robberies involving a man who would enter a business and confront employees with a knife. The man demanded and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.

The man robbed conveniences stores, gas bars and grocery stores on Main Street, Mountain Avenue, Leila Avenue, McPhilllips Street and Stella Avenue.

On Tuesday, police arrested Daniel Emrys Larsen in the 500 block of Selkirk Avenue. He has been charged with eight counts of robbery with a weapon, disguise with intent and breach of probation.

He was detained at the Winnipeg Remand Centre.
