Man charged in shooting on Alexander
A suspect faces charges after a man was shot Aug. 4 in the 600-block of Alexander Avenue, police said today.
The 25-year-old victim was shot in the lower body. He was taken to hospital in unstable condition, but later upgraded to stable.
Thomas Ross Halpin, 24, has been charged with:
- Aggravated assault
- Discharge firearm with intent
- Careless use of firearm
- Use firearm in commission of offence
- Possess weapon for dangerous purpose
- Unauthorized possession of firearm x 2
- Possession of a firearm while prohibited
He was detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
