Man charged with impaired driving following early morning crash

A 29-year-old man has been detained after a collision on McGregor Street and Anderson Avenue. Police say around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday the man was driving a Pontiac Grand Am at a high speed on McGregor Street.

The vehicle collided with a southbound Honda Civic.

The driver of the Grand Am was taken to hospital in unstable condition and was later upgraded to stable condition.

He was detained and has been charged with impaired driving and failing to comply with the conditions of an undertaking.

The occupants of the Civic were not hurt.
