Man dead, woman injured in crash southwest of Winnipeg

A man is dead following a three-vehicle collision southwest of Winnipeg early Sunday night.

The crash took place around 6 p.m. Sunday on Highway 330 about three kilometres south of the Perimeter Highway.

A southbound Cadillac SUV was in a head-on collision with a northbound Jaguar, police said.  A GMC SUV was also involved.

The driver of the Jaguar, an adult man, was pronounced dead on the scene. Police did not release his name.

An adult woman driving the Cadillac SUV was transported to hospital. There has been no word yet on the nature of her injuries.

Two adult women in the GMC SUV were not injured.

RCMP and emergency services are currently on the scene and assisting with the accident, Corp. Miles Hiebert said shortly after 8 p.m.

Highway 330 is expected to remain closed until about 10 p.m.
