  • Print

A local business turned to police when it suspected one of its employees was viewing child pornography on a workplace computer.

Winnipeg police said a 38-year-old man from the RM of Springfield is facing charges of accessing child pornography and possessing child pornography.

Police said it received the complaint from the employer Oct. 16. A search of the man’s home led police to seize several electronic devices where it’s alleged child pornographic images were also found.

WPS spokesman Const. Jason Michalyshen said it’s alleged the suspect was viewing pornographic images of girls between the ages of seven and 10 years.

The investigation is continuing.

The man was released on a promise to appear in court.
