There were seven people in the home at the time, including a baby girl and a seven-year-old girl.

The man fled before police arrived.

Terrance Hanska, 22 has been charged with attempted murder, break and enter with intent, pointing a firearm, reckless discharge of a firearm, three counts of assault with a weapon, and other related weapons charges.

Hanska was already facing charges of attempted murder and other related offences from the hammer attack.
