Man assaulted in residential robbery in Transcona

A man is in stable condition in hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a residential robbery in Transcona early Friday.

Police said the robbery happened around 4 a.m. in the 800 block of Brewster Street. Two people were home at the time.

 Two males entered the home and confronted a 23-year-old-male and 24-year-old female.

 The male was assaulted to the upper body and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

 Several electronic items were stolen.

 The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit.
