Man dies after driving off western Manitoba embankment

A 21-year-old Brandon man is dead following a single vehicle accident in the rural municipality of Dauphin Tuesday evening.

According to witnesses, the man was driving westbound on road 142 North near Keld, Man. when his 2011 Dodge Ram truck went off an embankment and dropped approximately 15 feet into a creek bed.

The man was taken to hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.

Dauphin RCMP continues to investigate the incident. The site was well-marked with barricades and warning signs. Speed was believed to be a factor.
