Man missing in woods near Hadashville

Search crews are combing the woods near Hadashville after an 86-year-old man failed to return from a planned hike Thursday.

Falcon Beach RCMP, along with search and rescue crews, are trying to find Joseph Kuz, 86. Kuz was visiting family and friends in Hadashville, in the R.M. of Reynolds, when police say he went on a planned hike in the forest north of Hwy. 1, west of Hadashville. He left early Thursday morning and has not been seen since.

Kuz is 6' tall and 200 pounds. Police say he is believed to have been wearing a grey shirt and grey pants, a dark rain coat and a red baseball cap.

Any members of the public who see someone matching this description along Hwy. 1 are asked to contact RCMP.
