A Transcona man pleaded guilty this morning to a charge possessing and trafficking cocaine.
Jose Ledo, 31, will be sentenced August 19.
Court was told that there will be a joint Crown-defence recommendation for a three-year prison sentence.
In exchange for pleading guilty, charges against Ledo's co-accused -- Mario Ledo and Jodie Pereira -- were dropped.
Court was told that Winnipeg police began an investigation into Ledo in early November 2008 after receiving a tip from a confidential informant.
Police observed Ledo make two hand-to-hand drug deals. A search of his parents' home, where he was living, turned up a quantity of cash, drugs, weapons and ammunition.
The plea deal was struck following a lengthy preliminary inquiry.
