Man sought after gaming centre held up

Police are looking for a masked man who held up the Keeseekoowenin First Nation gaming centre last week.

RCMP said an armed man wearing a balaclava entered the gaming centre around 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 24, armed with a firearm and demanded cash and cigarettes.

The suspect fled on foot with his loot.

No one was injured.

Keeseekoowenin First Nation is located adjacent to the town of Elphinstone, about 280 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg.

The suspect is described as wearing a green camouflage jacket and dark pants.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the the RCMP Elphinstone detachment at 204-625-2138 or Manitoba Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
