Man stabbed after group breaks into home on Toronto

A 19-year-old man was stabbed in the upper body about 12:30 a.m. today when several males broke into a home in the 500 block of Toronto Street, police said.

The injured man fled the residence. Police responding to a call found him in the area of Beverley Street and Sargent Avenue.

He was initially listed in critical condition in hospital, but has been upgraded to stable.

No arrests have been made, however interviews are ongoing, police said.

Members of the Division 11 Crime Unit are investigating.. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact police at 204 986-6668 or Crime Stoppers at 204 786-TIPS (8477).
