Man wanted in connection with St. James bank robbery

Winnipeg police are on the hunt for the man who robbed a St. James bank Tuesday afternoon.

A suspect, described as a 40-year-old aboriginal man, allegedly entered a CIBC location on Empress Street around 4:15 p.m., told a 49-year-old female teller he had a weapon and demanded cash.

He received an undisclosed amount of money and then fled the scene. Nobody was injured during the incident.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to contact investigator at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
