Manitoba RCMP probe two homicides

For the second time in two days, Manitoba RCMP are reporting a homicide, this time in the western Manitoba First Nation of Keeseekowenin.

Yellowhead RCMP were called to the Ojibway First Nation Friday night after a disturbance at a house. only to discover a body.

The victim was identified as Terrel Stewart Shorting, 34, of Keeseekowenin.

Terris Ronald Mintuck, 50, of Keeseekowenin First Nation has been arrested and charged with secnd degree murder.

He will appear in Brandon provincial court on Monday.

Keeseekowenin is located 280 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg.

RCMP also named the accused in the other homicide: Lott Campell, 32, of Moose Lake is charged with second degree murder in connection with the death of a man in a house disturbance at Moose Lake earlier last week.

A 24-year old man died. His name has not been released.

Moose Lake, the location of the RCMP detachment , is adjacent to Mosekahiken Cree Nation, 480 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
