Manitoba rowers heading to Olympics

Three Manitoba rowers have been selected to represent Canada at the Olympic Games. The regatta starts July 28 in England.

Among the seven-crew Team Canada are Janine Hanson of the Winnipeg Rowing Club in the women’s eights, and double sculls rowers Kevin Kowalyk of the Winnipeg Rowing Club and Morgan Jarvis of Winnipeg and of the Ottawa Rowing Club .

The team announcement was made today simultaneously in London, Ont., and Victoria, B.C.
