Two Manitobans are among the 13 development roster players who will get a chance to play alongside the Canadian women's hockey team.
Neepawa defender Halli Krzyzaniak, 18, and Brunkild forward Christine Bestland, 21, were among the young up 'n' comers plucked by Hockey Canada to play alongside the 27 women of the national team's centralization roster at the upcoming red and white series.
The 40 players will be split into two teams for the three-game series, which will run Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.
The games will play a key role in determining which players are selected for the Olympic roster, as well as give younger players a chance to gain experience with the national vets.
