March kicks off with mild, sunny day

The sun is shining, the mercury is climbing and the Jets are winning.

Everything is coming up Winnipeg.

It'll be a rather terrific day to kick off the month of March, or so says Environment Canada. The high today is a mild -6 C under mostly sunny skies. The overnight low is -16 C.

Expect some cloud cover and snow flurries on Saturday, with winds up to 30 km/h. The high could hit -4 C.

It's much the same for Sunday, with snow in the forecast and a high of -3 C.
