March to celebrate International Women's Day

Solidarity is the theme for International Women's Day today.

Among other events, a rally will be held at the Union Centre, 275 Broadway, starting at 5:15 p.m., followed by a march through the downtown, returning to the centre for refreshments and speakers.

Virgin Radio 1031's Chrissy Troy's emcee a line-up that includes Samantha Walters with her monologue I Am Supergirl. Other guests include University of Manitoba student union president Bilan Arte and Idle No More organizers, Chickadee Richards and Jo Redsky.
