Police officers surround a home on Union Avenue Saturday evening while searching for suspects in a gas-bar robbery.

Two men were arrested in connection to an armed robbery of a Watt Street Domo gas station after police surrounded an Elmwood home Saturday evening.

Police blocked traffic on residential streets in the Elmwood area after information led them to two separate residences in search of the robbers, said Staff Sargent Andrew Smith. The other home was on Keenleyside.

A dozen police cruisers, including the force’s tactical and canine units, were on the scene as officers surrounded a house on Union Avenue West between Watt and Roch streets.

Two men suspected in the robbery were arrested, Smith said. A teenaged boy and a middle-aged woman were also seen removed from the home in handcuffs.

The major crimes unit continues to investigate.
