Men sought after woman, child approached
Winnipeg police are looking for two males after a pair of separate suspicious incidents on Monday.
In the first, a 51-year-old woman was waiting near the intersection of Kildare Avenue and Redonda Street in Transcona around 3 p.m. She was approached by a man in a white two-door pickup truck who asked her whether she needed a ride. She declined but he continued to ask a number of personal questions, all of which were refused.
He is described as about 40 years of age with short hair and he was wearing a white baseball cap.
In the second incident, a 10-year-old boy was approached by an unknown man near the intersection of Robinson Street and Dufferin Avenue. The man allegedly got out of his older red cargo-style van and offered the boy candy and a ride. The boy declined and ran home and told his father.
The man is described as Caucasian, in his 30s, bald, clean-shaven, short with a skinny build, missing a lower tooth and with a tattoo on his upper left arm.
Anyone with information regarding either incident matter is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-2848 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
