Meter readers to start visiting homes on Wednesday

City of Winnipeg meter readers will start visiting homes across the city this week.

Starting Wednesday, meter readers will be visiting residences to check the water meter between 2:30 p.m. and dusk. Checks will be complete in August, and meter readers will be dressed in dark blue pants or shorts, and a light blue striped shirt with a City of Winnipeg Water and Waste logo.

Residents are reminded to check identification, as all meter readers wear photo identification and carry a hand-held computer.

Readers only record water meter readings and do not collect money.
