Milder temperatures in store for weekend

Those single-digit minuses that Environment Canada has been promising us are almost here.

One final day of double digits today, -12 C with a 40 per cent chance of flurries, then it's -6 C on Friday, -4 C on Saturday and -4 C again Sunday.

Feel free to do cartwheels.

Even the beginning of next week won't be so bad, with daytime highs ranging from -7 C to -10 C.

Hey, cheer up, the federal weather agency is still giving us something to complain about: only Saturday are we likely to get a glimpse of that giant orange ball in the sky, though it should be back Monday.
