Minnesota man, teen son drown near Kenora
The bodies of a Minnesota man and his teenaged son were pulled from the Lake of the Woods late Monday afternoon. The Ontario Provincial Police said the bodies of Wayne Windahl, 47, and his son, Jeremy Windahl, 16, of Warroad, Minnesota, were recovered by divers near Cyclone Island. The OPP said the Windahls were riding a snow machine on a trail on Cyclone Island when they went out onto the lake, then broke through the ice and went under the water.

Horrible turn of events! My husband went out fishing the same day and needed to use a large extension on his auger, so I don't understand why the ice was so thin where this father and son were fishing! My condolences to the family....
