Mixed forecast for long weekend

The climate takes on great import when there is a Bomber home game on Friday and then a long weekend when many people seek outdoor fun at cottages, campgrounds and picnic parks. Anticipating the weather for the next few days, one thing is certain – the forecast is uncertain.

Today will be a mix of sun and cloud, with a high of 25C, and a UV index of eight, or very high. Tonight’s low is 15 with a few clouds.

Tomorrow, when fans want to know whether rain will make a mess of their blue-and-gold facepaint, the Environment Canada forecast says (in language that’s tentative at best): "mainly cloudy, a few showers beginning near noon, risk of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening". The high tomorrow will be 21.

Saturday will see showers, with a high of 19 and low of 16.

Sunday and Monday are expected to be sunny, with highs in the mid-20s.
