ROSEMONT, Ill. — The Manitoba Moose gave their ECHL affiliate in Victoria a helping hand today, sending them defenceman Dylan Yeo.
The 22-year-old from Saskatchewan is behind both Daniel Rahimi and Travis Ramsey on the Moose depth chart and needs to be playing regularly, coach Scott Arniel said today. As well, defenceman Zack FitzGerald is slated to return from injury this weekend.
Yeo has played 45 games already this season for the Salmon Kings and only 14 for the Moose (one goal, five points). He'll be available in the weeks ahead if the Moose require help on their blueline.
Manitoba had a quiet travel day to the Chicago area today and did not practice. Game No. 70 of its 80-game schedule goes tomorrow night at Allstate Arena against the Chicago Wolves (7:30 p.m., CJOB, MTS-TV).
The Moose, who have 95 points in 69 games, lead the entire AHL standings. Chicago, with 73 points in 69 games, is in a fierce battle for the final playoff spots in the West Division.
The Moose road trip concludes on Saturday night in nearby Rockford, then only six home and three road games remain before the playoffs start.
