Moose assistant coach Wells leaving team

Manitoba Moose assistant coach Jay Wells will be leaving the team when his contract expires on June 30.
In his first season with the Moose, Wells helped the team to a berth in the Calder Cup finals, losing to the Hershey Bears in six games.
Wells joined the Moose after Brad Berry resigned following the 2007-08 season.
A former defenceman, the Paris, Ontario native played 18 NHL seasons with Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Buffalo, the New York Rangers, St. Louis and Tampa Bay before serving as an AHL assistant in Portland and Hershey.
