More sections closed on Hwy. 75
Two new portions of Highway 75 were closed this morning due to rising flood waters.
Manitoba Highways spokeswoman Katherine Moody said Hwy. 75 from Provincial Road 205 to Morris is now closed completely.

"There is no local traffic permitted on that stretch," she said.
The same goes for the stretch on Hwy. 75 from Morris to St. Jean Baptiste, where local traffic is no longer permitted and only emergency vehicles are allowed.
The highway remains closed to all but local traffic from Winnipeg city limits to Hwy. 205, and from St. Jean Baptiste to Hwy. 14. Heavy truck traffic is not allowed in that area.
The Hwy. 75 alternate detour runs from Hwy. 3 to Hwy. 14.
Meanwhile, city officials are advising property owners in Winnipeg not to remove their dikes against flooding until the all-clear is given as there is still a potential for a rise in the Red River if there's an ice jam.
Crews are working to thaw out frozen catch basins and culverts and watching for overland flooding from melting snow.
And police are still warning people not to drive out to flood areas where crews are working.
RCMP Sgt. Line Karpish says they will now hand out tickets to gawkers if they park in areas where it is felt they could be a traffic hazard.
People coming to see what's going on pose a danger to crews and operators of heavy equipment being used to control the ice, police said
