Motorcycle crossed centre line in fatal collision at Shoal Lake

An investigation has concluded that a Shoal Lake man died Friday night after his motorcycle crossed the centre line of a road and into the path of a pickup truck, RCMP said today.

No charges are anticipated as a result of collision.

Shoal Lake RCMP said on Saturday that the 22-year-old man was rushed to hospital on Friday at about 9 p.m., but he was pronounced dead shortly after.

RCMP said the 2008 Honda motorcycle was southbound when it collided with a northbound 2003 Dodge pickup truck at Station Road and 1st Avenue in Shoal Lake.

The 54-year-old man driving the pickup truck was not injured. There were no other vehicles or people involved in the collision.

An RCMP traffic collision analyst helped with the investigation.
