One person injured in 3-vehicle collision on Perimeter

One person has been taken to hospital with undetermined injuries in a pileup on the westbound north Perimeter just west of Main Street, RCMP Cpl. Miles Hiebert said.

There may be more people injured, RCMP said.

"We have three vehicles involved in the collision. We have other vehicles slid into the ditch because of icy conditions," he said.

The westbound lanes of the Perimeter Highway from Highway 8 to Highway 9 were reopened just before 11 a.m.

Cars are in the ditch on the north perimeter from Highway 59 to McPhillips because of icy conditions, Hiebert  said.
