The province’s "lily capital" has won the right to host Manitoba’s official 140th birthday party on May 12, 2010.
The prize is part of the Celebrate Manitoba Day contest organized by Manitoba Homecoming.
Over the last month, Manitobans cast votes for the five finalists, including La Broquerie, La Salle, Morden and Thompson.
Neepawa received more than 14,000 votes.
Details on the celebration will be determined soon, but Neepawa can expect to host a formal ceremony to mark the province’s 140th birthday.
