Believe it or not, warm weather is coming.
This news may seem difficult to comprehend, given that it was snowing early this morning, but trust us: things will start to heat up in Winnipeg over the weekend.
Before we get there, however, Environment Canada is calling for another cool day, with cloudy skies and a high of only 8 C today. Tonight, the thermostat will drop down to a chilly -4 C. Cover those flowers and vegetables you prematurely planted in the backyard.
The sun will make its return starting Thursday, and should stay over us through most of the long weekend. By Sunday, Environment Canada expects the temperature to reach 14 C. This is still well below the normal high of 20 C for this time of year, but that’s OK.
At least there’s no more snow in the forecast.
