76-year-old pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicle on Pembina Highway

A 76-year-old Manitoba man was killed Tuesday night when he was was hit by a vehicle while walking across the street in the 2600 block of Pemibina Highway, north of the intersection of Dalhousie Drive, police said today.

The man had walked across the southbound lanes of Pembina Highway in front of Windsor Plywood about 6 p.m. when he was hit in the northbound lanes by a vehicle travelling north.

Police didn't release any information about the identity of the driver.

The victim’s name will not be released.

Anyone with information, who hasn’t already spoken to police, is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6271 or Winnipeg Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
