Not much sunshine on our shoulders today

If your house is prone to ice-damming, this might be a good time to get out and shovel off your roof.

There will likely be some melting today as the mercury rises to -3 C,and that’s five degrees above normal, under increasingly cloudy skies. Fog patches are expected to dissipate this morning, giving way to a 60 per cent chance of flurries in the afternoon.

It will cool off tomorrow with a high of -13 C under sunny skies with some clouds rolling in during the afternoon. Environment Canada is calling for sun again on Friday with a high of -10 C.

The weekend should start off with clouds and a 60 per cent chance of flurries on Saturday and a high of -4 C but Sunday the forecasted high is 0.

Below-normal temperatures are expected to return early next week.
