After a weekend that saw six motorcycle deaths throughout the province, another motorcyclist was injured Monday night, but witnesses said he was conscious and moving.

Southbound traffic on Henderson Highway was stopped for a crosswalk at Larsen Avenue around 8:30 p.m. when the motorcycle slammed into the back of a van.

Witness Travis Clark-Antonio said that the motorcyclist, a man who appeared to be in his 30s or 40s, was thrown under the van, but eventually crawled out and was taken away by ambulance.

Southbound traffic on Henderson continues to be detoured through Elmwood residential streets, causing delays in both directions.
