Ottawa to address grain-transport problems Friday

Ottawa plans to announce changes tomorrow to the country’s grain transportation system.

A release said Transport Minister Lisa Raitt and Agricultural Minister Gerry Ritz are speaking Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Fairmont Hotel in Winnipeg, according to a release.

Canadian farmers have been unhappy for months with the slowness of grain transport following record harvests last fall.
