PTE meets $2.5-million capital campaign, honours contributors with donor wall

Prairie Theatre Exchange has reached its $2.5-million capital campaign goal and will honour contributors with a donor wall to be unveiled Thursday in the lobby.

The money paid for a stylish upgrade of the lobby and lounge areas, as well as to classrooms and rehearsal halls, carried out mainly over the last two summers.

"This is another great success story for PTE," general manger Cherry Karpyshin says in a press release. "We are so pleased that there has been a strong response to our call for support from all areas — government, corporations and individuals… we will be celebrating this success with many of our important donors."

The company will soon be turning its attention to raising money for the PTE endowment fund.

The next PTE production, The Swearing Jar, opens on Nov. 15.
