Paddlewheel Restaurant up for renovations

The Paddlewheel Restaurant in the downtown Bay store is closing.

And a new restaurant will fill the space.

The Bay announced this morning they are "renovating and reinvigorating the restaurants at 24 Bay stores across Canada."

According to a press released, the Bay has entered into partnerships with Compass Group Canada, a foodservice and support services company, and Oliver & Bonacini Restaurants to manage all restaurants and foodservices at The Bay.

More details will be coming later today.

The Paddlewheel is a Winnipeg institution. It is a self-serve restaurant on the sixth floor of the Bay downtown.

The restaurant hosted the very popular Breakfast with Santa during the holiday season until 2009.
