Perimeter Highway open after multiple crashes closed westbound lanes

RCMP report eight vehicles were involved in crashes that closed westbound lanes of the Perimeter Highway south of Winnipeg late this morning.

One person was taken to hospital and there are no reports of any serious injuries, Sgt. Line Karpish said.

Conditions are slippery with poor visibility and motorists are asked to avoid the area, she said.
