Paula Havixbeck takes narrow victory in Charleswood

Paula Havixbeck eked out a victory in Charleswood, narrowingly beating out Jarret Hannah by 56 votes.

Charleswood-Tuxedo was the most crowded race in the city, with seven candidates vying to succeed the late Bill Clement.

Clement’s death paved the way for the first wide-open race in nearly three decades. A total of seven candidates were vying to replace Clement, including Dashi Zargani, Steve Szego, Wendy Lenton, Timothy Martin and Livio Ciaralli, who ran against Clement in 2006.

Hannah’s team is demanding a recount. They say their candidate is 47 votes behind Havixbeck.
