A 45-year-old man was taken to hospital in critical condition after being hit by a taxi earlier this morning.
The incident occurred in the area of Regent Avenue and Stapon Road in Transcona at approximately 1 a.m. The man suffered serious injuries to his lower body.
Police say he suffered serious injuries but his condition has stabilized.
Eastbound Regent at Stapon was closed to traffic while police probed the crash, but the stretch of road has since been reopened.
The cab was being driven by a 60-year-old man.
