Photos show where Maryk children kept, says foundation
The FIND Foundation released photos today of the home where the allegedly abducted Maryk children were kept in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The photos show messy spaces inside the home, where officers went last Friday night to recover the children and arrest their father Kevin Maryk and his friend Robert Groen.
"The reason (the photos were) released is so that people can see the condition these kids where living in," said Wilhelm von Mayer, a private investigator who works with the FIND Foundation. "You will notice the picture of the drawing made by the children, where you can see the 'I love you daddy,' the two children and the dog.... but what about the mother? Really disturbing."
Family members of Cody McKay, the third suspect wanted by police in the abduction of the Maryk children, are part of a Facebook page urging his return.
The page – which is called "Bring Cody Home" – features a photo of a young Cody with his mother.
"Cody come home and we will take care of (whatever) needs to be," said an online post by Cody’s father, Brad McKay.
Police said at a press conference Monday they had not been in touch with McKay’s family since the children were recovered.
