Pinawa man charged with sex assaults

Police have charged a Pinawa man with sexual assault and sexual interference involving four girls, aged nine to 13.

The alleged offences took place from 2006 to 2012 in the Pinawa area, RCMP in Lac du Bonnet report. The victims and the suspect are known to each other, police said.

The suspect, 65-year-old Bruce Goodwin of Pinawa was arrested Wednesday.

Goodwin has been released on a promise to appear in Lac du Bonnet court Nov. 6. Police said he is not allowed to have contact with any youth under the age of 16. Additional details about the offences and the victims are not being released to protect the victims’ identities, RCMP said.

Police said the investigation continues.
