Pistons' Maxiell says Winnipeg can expect a fast game

The NBA is in Winnipeg and Detroit Pistons veteran Jason Maxiell says it's great for the league.

"This isn't just about the players getting their timing down but about about growing the game," said Maxiell, an eight-year starter. "It's also great to see other cultures. Winnipeg is a lot different than Toronto, that's for sure."

The Pistons held a quick shoot around this morning and they'll face the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight at 7 p.m. Tickets are still available.

Maxiell said fans can expect a fast game.

"We only have two pre-season games left. Starters will play and we'll be trying to get our wind and our rotations down," he said. "This is as close to real as it gets."
