Plenty of sunshine forecast for weekend

WINNIPEG -- Sure, it’s only 3 C as you get up, but we’re on our way to a high of 20 C today, with a grab-your-sunblock UV index of 6.

But Thursday is another story, says Environment Canada -- sun giving way to showers in the evening, then a risk of thunderstorms and winds gusting to 60 k/h. There's a very warm high of 27 C, though.

Expect only 15 C on Friday, though sunny, then sun and 20 C on Saturday, and staying sunny through Tuesday, with highs in the low 20s, Environment Canada says.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
