Police arrest man after finding two grow ops

A Winnipeg man is facing numerous drug-related charges following a grow operation bust in two separate Winnipeg homes Wednesday.

After executing search warrants in residences in the 200 block of Manitoba Avenue and 400 block of Alfred Avenue, members of the Winnipeg Police Service Marijuana Grow Operation unit seized the following:

-- 816 marijuana plants (estimated street value: $913,920)
-- six grams of cannabis marijuana (estimated street value: $60)
-- grow operation equipment ($10,000 value)
-- $6,500.00 in Canadian currency
-- various pieces of gold ($10,000 value)

A 49-year-old suspect was arrested and is facing several charges. He was released on a promise to appear.
