Police continue to investigate a fatal stabbing that happened over the weekend.
The incident occurred shortly after 11 p.m. on Saturday, when officers and emergency personnel were called to a location near Dufferin Avenue and Salter Street, just north of the Slaw Rebchuk Bridge.
Two males, ages 17 and 18, were found with multiple stab wounds. The 17-year-old was transported to hospital and later died from his injuries.
It is Winnipeg’s seventh homicide of 2014.
The second male was taken to hospital in critical condition. Police say he has since been upgraded to stable.
