Winnipeg police shut down a grow operation in Elmwood on Thursday and arrested two men.
Seized from a home in the 200 block of Union Avenue West were 20 marijuana plants with an estimated street value of $22,400, dried marijuana with an estimated street value of $1,500, prescription medication and grow operation equipment valued at $4,000.
A 21-year-old man and a 20-year-old man are both facing charges of production of a controlled substance and possessing a substance for the purpose of trafficking. The 20-year-old man is also charged with possession a controlled drug or substance and three counts of breaching probation.
Both men were released on promises to appear.
