Police find drugs, weapons and cash at Hespeler home

Winnipeg police came away with a substantial haul after executing a search warrant in the 100 block of Hespeler Avenue Monday.

Among the items seized in the raid included a loaded shotgun and ammunition; over 31 grams of methamphetamine (with an estimated street value of $4,760); a stun gun; a bayonet and two machetes; along with an unspecified amount of Canadian cash.

Two men, 29-year-old Sergio Vergara and 38-year-old Allan LaPeire, have been charged with numerous weapons and drug related charges.

Both have been detained.
