Police are investigating after the body of a man was found next to a retention pond in northwest Winnipeg Saturday morning.

The Woodsworth Park pond is just south of Selkirk Avenue, east of King Edward Street.

Several officers were at the scene Saturday morning.

Police were not commenting on whether foul play was suspected.
